MethodAtlas

Structured methods for understanding and assessing software.

A methodology-oriented tooling project originating from Egothor work and subsequently modified for commercial use.

Project background

MethodAtlas explores how software methods, rules and test evidence can be represented consistently and reviewed systematically. Its work connects rule-based classification, developer workflows and security-related tests.

The original engineering ideas emerged from independent Egothor work. Certain approaches were later adapted to commercial environments. This portfolio presents only the general methodology and personal engineering background; it does not represent any employer, commercial deliverable, proprietary implementation or third-party endorsement.

Engineering themes

  • Rule-driven classification and traceable test metadata.
  • Repeatable analysis and review of security-relevant tests.
  • Clear separation between deterministic rules and optional AI-assisted recommendations.

Test inventory and evidence

The methodology includes source-level test inventory and security classification, organised around reproducibility and evidence generation. This connects the practical task of understanding a test suite with the need to review its security-related coverage in regulated software-delivery workflows.

Within this portfolio, these topics describe the general engineering approach. They complement the broader assurance theme: keeping rules, classifications and test evidence explicit enough to inspect and review.
